Tips for Sustainable Catering

Sustainable catering solutions are within your reach - you just need to adjust a few habits!

  • Minimise food waste as far as possible.
  • Try to use products with the smallest environmental impact at the production level: local and seasonal products, and organic and sustainable food products.
  • Source suppliers and labeled products (organic and/or sustainable food, fair trade products,..).
  • Avoid packaging and waste as far as possible.
  • Aim to use reusable materials (cutlery, plates, tablecloths, napkins, etc.).
  • Limit meat consumption and offer vegetarian alternatives.
  • Organize the logistics in such a way that food can be preserved for as long as possible so that it can be reused if it is not served and consumed during the event.
  • Avoid using polluting energy facilities for catering.
  • Routinely raise awareness among suppliers and clients.
