Sustainable catering solutions are within your reach - you just need to adjust a few habits!
1. Four Key Figures
2. Main principles to apply
- Minimise food waste as far as possible.
- Try to use products with the smallest environmental impact at the production level: local and seasonal products, and organic and sustainable food products.
- Source suppliers and labeled products (organic and/or sustainable food, fair trade products,..).
- Avoid packaging and waste as far as possible.
- Aim to use reusable materials (cutlery, plates, tablecloths, napkins, etc.).
- Limit meat consumption and offer vegetarian alternatives.
- Organize the logistics in such a way that food can be preserved for as long as possible so that it can be reused if it is not served and consumed during the event.
- Avoid using polluting energy facilities for catering.
- Routinely raise awareness among suppliers and clients.
